Ontario Baseball Return to Play - Parental Requirements
In anticipation of our inevitable return, Baseball Ontario has outlined a couple COVID-19 and concussion related consents that each family needs to complete before your son can participate in any sanctioned baseball activities.
Baseball Ontario has kept the no leadoff rule in place as they feel first base will be a hot spot potentially with a runner, first basemen, first base coach and an umpire all in close proximity.
They have also removed the requirement to sanitize baseballs at games and practices; however, the new requirement will be hand sanitizing every half hour at practice and each half inning during games.
We will also be required to submit attendance to Baseball Ontario for each practice and/or game.
Baseball Ontario has developed and maintains an FAQ document as questions arise with respect to the Return to Sport. This document is available in the OnDeck platform, both online and through the mobile app. We invite you to check it out regularly for updates! Click on “Return To Sport” link, then “For Parents” then “Waivers, Declarations and Acknowledgements” at the following website https://ondeck.baseballontario.com/
Here you will find the following that needs to be reviewed or completed:
- Rowan’s Law Acknowledgment
- Child Participation Waiver
- Covid Declaration
- Player Code Of Conduct
Again....All of this must be done prior to your child Returning to Play in a formal setting.
We ask that you complete ASAP.
