ANGELS U17 Rep Girls Softball Team Brings Home Silver Medal in GVLSA League Playoffs- London, ON
ANGELS won 3 out of 4 games Saturday and Sunday morning to advance to the Championship game Sunday afternoon in the ‘B’ Pool of the Grand Valley Ladies Softball Association U17 League Closing (Playoffs) Weekend.
In a close battle through 4 innings, Palmerston Marlins (5th in league standings) were up 2-0. They scored 2 more runs in the 6th and 4 more in the 7th with Angels (11th in league standings) answering with 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th, but it was were halted by Marlins’ strong hold on defence.
It was an exciting ending to our 2022 season. We’re very proud of our Angels fight this weekend as underdogs, earning a Silver medal. Congratulations to Marlins for their Gold medal win.Thank you to our families and fans for cheering us on and thank you to all the volunteers and umpires who made this past weekend possible!
