The Ancaster Angels Rep Program

What is Rep Baseball?
The Angels Rep program is travel ball that allows youth players to play at a higher level and does not include House League play. As a travel ball program, players suit up in the Angels uniform and play a regular season against other city centres in the Inter County Baseball Association (ICBA). These teams include the Hamilton Cardinals, Brantford, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge, Stratford and Woodstock.

The Ancaster Baseball Association provides youth baseball players the opportunity to develop through our High Performance program and play at the highest level. Player positions will be determined by the Coach to maximize player’s capabilities and team success. Players will be expected to commit to developing their individual and team baseball skills to the highest level attainable in a competitive environment.

As members of the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA), our Rep teams also participate in several tournaments throughout the Province (and in the US), as well as ICBA championships, and OBA Provincial championships.

Who Can Play?
Teams are selected each year through tryouts in the fall. The program is open to all players 9U-18U.
Age is based on the calendar year.

Those who live in Ancaster do not need a release.
Those who live outside of this area can attend our tryouts without a release.
Please see more release details on the document below.
Once teams are picked, the Coaching staff determines whether the team will compete at the Tier 1 AAA level or Tier 2 AA level.

Depending on the number of players at tryouts, there may be a 2nd team formed at an age group.
In order to be eligible as a player for the 2nd team, you must attend tryouts for the 1st team.
In certain circumstances, we may group 2 age groups to form a 2nd team. If this is the case, all players from the oldest of the 2 age groups will form the initial roster and the remainder of the spots will be filled by the younger age group.
